- Trump believes that by repeating a lie he can make it true. It works for his MAGA followers, but doesn't work for the rest of humanity or reality. Trump desperately wants to be praised for his tariffs despite the damage done with little benefit. He often uses them as the source of some promised payout, but so far no one, except perhaps Trump himself, has seen any payout from the 200 billion dollars of Tariffs collected (not 3 trillion as Trump has often lied). Here the money was allocated BEFORE Trump declared it comes from Tariffs.
